    Proposal:

    This Moodle will be seen as a space to learn and improve your knowledge on the English Syntax. Your active participation is required and your doubts and questions will be answered  by your classmates and I. Therefore, it is also expected that you help your classmates answer theirs. Finally, it should be mentioned that this space will be graded and that your score will be taken into account in your quizzes and classwork score. Welcome to this course, and I hope you can take advantage of it. 

  • CMAP Tools

    Description

    In this module you will find a section about a piece of software called CMAP Tools and that you can utilize to create your own tree diagrams.

    Purpose


    1. To practice on the different transformational rules explained in class and the creation of tree diagrams.

    2. To guide students through the utilization of CMAP Tools as a piece of software that helps them create digital tree diagrams.

    Tasks 

    1. Download the software CMAP TOOLS by using the link "CMAP TOOLS Download" below. 

    2. Read the attached files and watch the tutorial. Then, do the exercises. 

    3. Participate in the Wiki. 

  • THE HISTORY OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND ITS WORD ORDER

    Description

    In this module you will find some information about the history of the English language and its word order, Besides, you will practice some of the principles that focus on word order in other languages as well.

    Purpose

    1. To practice on the mechanics of word order of English and other languages as well.

    Tasks 

    1. Watch the video and do the proposed activities. 

    2. In groups, analyse different sentences taking into account different word orders.
